The Story Behind Our Movement
GIFT was born from a legacy of selfless giving and entrepreneurship. Inspired by her parents’ charitable acts, Grateful Itiowe, a legal practitioner, built small businesses during university to fund student aid and gospel initiatives. A transformative global gathering in 2016 ignited her vision to tackle hunger and poverty together.
Through her MBA, Grateful refined this idea into a sustainable plan combining agriculture, training, and core values. While studying in the USA, she partnered with schools, non-profits, churches, and Bible societies, sending carloads of donations to vulnerable Nigerian communities, including IDP camps and underserved areas like Powe and Babade.
Today, GIFT is transforming lives with its agriculture project, feeding families and combating hunger sustainably. With plans to expand this initiative to 1,000 acres, GIFT is more than a foundation — it’s a movement of hope and empowerment.
